Every Man, Woman, and Child creates a setting for children or adults to read the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, either the full text or a paraphrase, with a beautiful song as background and centerpiece.
"Give Every Man, Woman, and Child
Their Human Rights."
Winner of the first annual Global Peace Song Award!
(A Capella, 2017)
An inter-generational performance of "Every Man, Woman, and Child" is an uplifting and educational gift to a community. Children and adults attend workshops and classes to learn the music, hand motions, and articles to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. During the song (the music for which may be performed by live musicians or played on a p.a. system), each performer approaches the microphone and recites a fundamental human right from the UDHR.
Another community project included in the manual is a beautiful, solemn ceremony in which participants walk to the center of a spiral reading the UDHR quietly, then move around a bagua singing chant lines from "Every Man, Woman, and Child."
Workshop manual includes: course outline, song lyrics and hand motions, promotional flyer, certificate of completion, workshop plan, text choice guidelines, preamble and articles from the UDHR with paraphrase possibilities, presentation ideas and further resources. Suitable for ages 5-adult.
